Exactly, I can't picture all of the action and the harder I try the worse I get at it. In my head, I end up with Big Bird fighting Elmo with a karate chop, for example. Fail.

Sorry Aths, for some reason, I am not getting emails for comments. I'm about to post the first review for one of Shebooks pieces.

Usually, I consider shorts and books for kids as palette cleansers in between regular books, if I consider them at all.

I don't read too many short stories either mainly because sometimes I don't understand them and why they feel so terse. But I still like reading them occasionally. I will have to check that website.

I haven't read this series, but I think I enjoy such plots on film than on books. These are such visual books that I don't have much success imagining them.

I was on the edge of my seat Ti and I don't say that about books usually. There was something about the main character having to choose Mom or Dad's story that just sucked me in.

I have this one and got it based on the blurb but these types of books can go either way. Too bad you didn't like it more. When you read as many books as we do, we hate to waste time on one that is just bleh.

SO! I know this is really old! But I did end up borrowing this one from the library and I have to say this was such an interesting read. It's definitely horrifying and disturbing, and I'm not entirely convinced a fake autobiography was the way to tell the first half of the story, but I'm so glad I finally read this one! It was so so interesting and beautifully done. The drawings are amazing.

It's funny, the cover seemed so bland to me until I really looked at it and saw how desolate the idea of one simple light bulb in the dark was.
